Our community of paddlers was enriched by one of our CKAPCO instructors and owner of Antietam Creek Canoe. We are saddened to share that Greg passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, following a trip on the river, doing what he loved. Our deepest sympathies go out to Greg’s family and friends.

Many of you know Greg as a great canoeist, instructor and friend. He was committed to generating new kayak and canoe enthusiasts and spent much time and resources with Team River Runner, supporting veterans and their families through adventure and adaptive paddle sports. We are planning a commemorative celebration of Greg on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Riley’s Lock take-out area. Please join us to share stories, followed by a paddle for those so inclined.
