Course Overview: The Essentials of Canoe Touring course is designed to teach beginner paddlers to safely and enjoyably canoe on lakes and other calm protected flatwater settings.

We will cover such topics as the paddling environment, personal preparation for safety, comfort and fun, equipment, strokes and maneuvers, safety and rescue and paddling concepts.

The course may be conducted for tandem canoes, solo canoes, or both.
