Mason Neck National Wildlife Refuge. Kanes Creek [#T1] trip 3 hours, 2 + miles. easy & exquisite. Paddle north along high clay cliffs collapsing, trees and all, into Belmont Bay. Pass the wreck and, turn right into a quiet place; eagles, lilies, ospreys and herons. Amazing that this exists, so close to home.
